I'm Alaura

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Elmira, New York, and for the last 11 years I’ve had the honor of capturing some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives.

Photography has always been something I loved, but becoming a mom is what gave me the push to finally take the leap and turn that passion into a career. What started as wanting to freeze time with my own children grew into a business built around preserving memories for others—and I still genuinely love what I do all these years later.

My photography style is warm, emotional, and true to life. I focus on creating images that feel natural and full of connection rather than stiff or overly posed. During sessions, I’ll guide you when needed while also leaving room for real moments to happen naturally. The laughs between poses, the little looks, the chaos, the love—that’s the good stuff.

One of the most important things to me is making people feel comfortable. Whether you’re someone who loves being in front of the camera or someone who feels awkward the second a lens comes out, I want your experience to feel relaxed, easy, and fun. I’m patient, laid-back, and genuinely invested in getting to know the people I work with because I believe the best photos happen when you feel like yourself.

Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from weddings and families to seniors, maternity, events, and boudoir sessions. I’ve worked with shy kids, energetic toddlers, stubborn pets, camera-loving couples, and people who swore they were “awkward in photos” before absolutely crushing their session.

Outside of photography, I’m a huge fan of anything nostalgic and 90s-related. I love concerts, traveling, quoting movies way too often, and anything paranormal or spooky. If you want to talk haunted locations, music, or your favorite comfort movie during your session, we’ll probably get along just fine.
